THE YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF THE PRAIRIE WAS ORGANIZED TO WORK IN COOPERATION WITH OTHERS TO ENHANCE THE SPIRITUAL, SOCIAL, MENTAL, AND PHYSICAL LIFE OF THE MEMBERS OF THE COMMUNITY THROUGH HEALTH AND FITNESS PROGRAMS THAT DEVELOP ECONOMIC, SOCIAL, AND MORAL CONDITIONS FOR YOUTH AND ADULTS, WHILE UTILIZING THE FACILITIES, EQUIPMENT, AND BUILDINGS OF THE YOUNG MEN'S CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF THE PRAIRIE, IN AN EFFORT TO IMPROVE THE COMMUNITY'S QUALITY OF LIFE.

YMCA SPORTS, RECREATION, AND YOUTH DEVELOPMENT - HELPING PEOPLE OF ALL AGES AND ABILITIES DEVELOP HEALTH IN SPIRIT, MIND, AND BODY. PROGRAMS ARE DESIGNED TO HELP PEOPLE CREATE REALISTIC GOALS FOR SELF-IMPROVEMENT AND EMPHASIZE DISEASE PREVENTION THROUGH REGULAR EXERCISE, PROPER NUTRITION, STRESS MANAGEMENT, AND HEALTH EDUCATION. THE PROGRAMS PROMOTE AN APPRECIATION OF ONE'S OWN WORTH IN ADDITION TO PROMOTING TEAMWORK, INTERACTION, AND DEVELOPMENT OF SOCIAL AND PHYSICAL SKILLS.
