PLAYERS FOR THE PLANET HAD THE FOLLOWING ACCOMPLISHMENT DURING THE YEAR:-PLAYERS FOR THE PLANET ATHLETES CONTRIBUTED OVER 150,000 TREES TO BE PLANTED AS PART OF THE PLAY FOR TREES PROGRAM.-TONY KEMP EVENT, OAKLAND, CA-MIAMI HEAT TREE PLANTING EVENT, MIAMI, CA-MILWAUKEE BREWERS TREE PLANTING EVENT, VICTORY GARDENS, MILWAUKEE WI-EVEN LONGORIA TREE PLANTING EVENT, SAN FRANCISCO CA-TAMPA BAY RAYS TREE PLANTING EVENT-PLANTED 140 TREES AT FORT DESOTO STATE PARK IN ST. PETERSBURG FLORIDA -OVER 50,000 POUNDS OF MARINE DEBRIS WAS COLLECTED IN 2022 OVER THE COURSE OF 8 EVENTS BOTH DOMESTICALLY AND IN THE DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. -NOVEMBER 9TH CLEANUP FEATURING A RECORD 315 PLAYERS FROM 8 DIFFERENT MLB ACADEMIES REMOVED 16,000 POUNDS ALONE OFF THE BEACHES OF SANTO DOMINGO, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC. -FOOTBALL FOR HER BEACH CLEANUP -JANUARY 2022 VENICE BEACH, CA-MIAMI MARLINS (MIAMI MARLINS FOUNDATION) CLEANUP IN COLLABORATION WITH HAIR CLUB FOR MEN-MLB ALL STAR GAME CLEANUP, SANTA MONICA BEACH, SANTA MONICA, CAPARTICIPANTS REMOVED OVER 450 POUNDS OF TRASH FROM SANTA MONICA BEACH-DOMINICAN REPUBLICFUNDED 8 EDUCATION PROGRAMS AT MLB ACADEMIES WITH MORE THAN 400 PLAYERS TAKING A ONE-HOUR COURSE ON OCEAN HEALTH AND ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION.-ATLANTA BRAVES COMMUNITY ORCHARDS IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE ATLANTA BRAVES, WE CONTRIBUTED TO 20 COMMUNITY ORCHARDS ACROSS THE ATLANTA METRO AREA. THESE ORCHARDS INCREASED ACCESS TO FRESH, HEALTHY FOOD FOR URBAN RESIDENTS WHILE EXPANDING TREE CANOPY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY. -FLORIDA BURN 9U BASEBALL TEAM COLLECTED MORE THAN 100 POUNDS OF TRASH ON A FLORIDA BEACH. -SINGLE-USE PLASTIC INITIATIVEPARTNERED WITH 4 MAJOR LEAGUE BASEBALL TEAMS ON LOCKER ROOM INITIATIVES TO REMOVE AND REDUCE SINGLE-USE PLASTIC IN THE LOCKER ROOM THROUGH THE USE OF REUSABLE WATER BOTTLES. PLAYERS FOR THE PLANET ADVISED AND FACILITATED THE PURCHASE OF MORE THAN 1,000 REUSABLE BOTTLES TO THE TAMPA BAY RAYS, PITTSBURG PIRATES, SEATTLE MARINERS, AND MILWAUKEE BREWERS FOR THE 2022 SEASON.
