OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD COMMUNITY TOGETHER. WE HAVE THREE MAIN PROGRAMS: BASIC NEEDS, CIVIC ENGAGEMENT, AND COMMUNITY AND CULTURE. OUR MAIN AUDIENCE IS THE LATINX COMMUNITY OF BENTON AND LINN COUNTIES.

BASIC NEEDS - WE AID MIGRANT AND REFUGEE FAMILIES NEEDING ASSISTANCE WITH INTERPRETING, TRANSLATIONS, COMPLETING FORMS AND APPLICATIONS, RESUME BUILDING, DRAFTING LETTERS, TECHNOLOGY ASSISTANCE, HELP WITH MAKING MEDICAL APPOINTMENTS, AND REFERRALS TO LOW-COST OR FREE LEGAL SERVICES.THROUGH THIS PROGRAM, AND SINCE THE PANDEMIC STARTED, CASA LATINOS UNIDOS HAS BEEN PROVIDING EMERGENCY FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES FACING ECONOMIC HARDSHIP. IN ADDITION, WE PARTNERED WITH WE CARE TO OFFER ONE-TIME EMERGENCY ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES IN BENTON COUNTY AND WITH COMMUNITY CONSORTIUM CARES RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO HELP FAMILIES LIVING IN LINN AND BENTON COUNTIES.WE HAVE RECEIVED SUPPORT FROM OHA TO PROVIDE WRAP-AROUND SERVICES TO INDIVIDUALS AFFECTED BY COVID-19 AS WELL AS TO PROMOTE TESTING AND VACCINATION. WE HAVE ALSO RECEIVED ASUPPORT FROM THE INTERCOMMUNITY HEALTH NETWORK-CCO TO DEVELOP A COMMUNITY HEALTH WORKER PROGRAM TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS AND FAMILIES AFFECTED BY COVID-19.WE HAVE TWO OTHER CONTRACTS FOR PROGRAM SERVICES. ONE IS WITH THE FARMWORKER HOUSING DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION TO COMPLETE CLIENT APPLICATIONS TO THE OREGON WORKER RELIEF FUND (OWRF). THESE ARE APPLICATIONS FOR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE.THE OTHER IS WITH COMMUNITY SERVICES CONSORTIUM (CSC) TO COMPLETE APPLICATIONS FOR THE CSC RENTAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAM TO HELP FAMILIES AFFECTED BY COVID-19. THIS CONTRACT INCLUDES PROVIDING CULTURAL ADVISEMENT TO CSC REGARDING THE LATINO COMMUNITY OF BENTON AND LINN COUNTIES. THE OTHER TWO LARGEST PROGRAMS ARE THE COMMUNITY AND CULTURE PROGRAM AND THE CIVIC ENGAGEMENT AND LEADERSHIP PROGRAM. IN THE COMMUNITY AND CULTURE PROGRAM WE RECEIVED SUPPORT FROM OREGN HUMANITIES TO IMPLEMENT AN ORAL HISTORY PROJECT.
