TDS CONTINUES FUNDING THE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM THAT SUPPORTS SECONDARY EDUCATION FOR 40 GIRLS ANNUALLY. THE COMPUTER LAB IN THE LIBRARY AND COMMUNITY RESOURCE CENTER HAS INCREASED THE NUMBER OF COMPUTERS AVAILABLE AND NOW PROVIDES INTERNET ACCESS AND EDUCATION PROGRAMS TO THE STUDENTS, TEACHERS AND COMMUNITY. A PREPRIMARY PROGRAM HAS BEEN ESTABLISHED AND CURRENTLY SERVES ABOUT 100 YOUNG CHILDREN. THE 4H CAREER PATHWAYS PROGRAM HAS BEEN EXPANDED TO SERVE 7 SCHOOLS WITH MORE THAN 600 STUDENTS ACTIVELY INVOLVED. INTERNET INSTALLATION AT THE MKONO SECONDARY SCHOOL PROVIDES ACCESS TO A COMPUTER LAB TO OVER 450 STUDENTS.
