TEACHING WRITERS AND TEACHING ARTISTS LEAD THE STUDENTS IN WORKSHOPS WHERE CREATIVE WRITING AND THE ARTS ARE USED TO ESTABLISH COMMON GROUND THAT LETS THE STUDENTS COMMUNICATE WITH AND LEARN ABOUT EACH OTHER ACROSS CULTURAL AND GEOGRAPHIC BORDERS.
