THE PRIMARY PURPOSE OF CARGO RANCH IS TO SHARE HOPE AND BUILD CHARACTER IN CHILDREN AND YOUTH BY MEETING THEIR PHYSICAL AND SPIRITUAL NEEDS IN AN OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT.

CARGO RANCH EXISTS TO MEET THE PHYSICAL, SPIRITUAL, AND EMOTIONAL NEEDS OF THE COMMUNITY'S YOUTH IN AN OUTDOOR ENVIRONMENT. THIS INCLUDES PROVIDING STUDENTS WITH OPPORTUNITIES FOR HORSEMANSHIP, FISHING, HIKING, ARTS AND CRAFTS, AND GARDENING. EACH STUDENT ATTENDS CARGO RANCH FREE OF CHARGE BECAUSE OF THE FINANCIAL SUPPORT RECEIVED EACH YEAR. AS PART OF THEIR INVOLVEMENT, STUDENTS TAKE PART IN DAILY CHORES AT THE RANCH, INCLUDING TENDING THE GARDEN, WRITING THANK YOU NOTES TO DONORS, GROOMING THE HORSES, AND CLEARING THE GROUND OF DEBRIS. IN 2021, CARGO SERVED APPROXIMATELY 40 STUDENTS, AGES 7-18, FROM THE COMMUNITY WITH HELP FROM OVER 50 WEEKLY VOLUNTEERS. CARGO RANCH HAS PLAYED A CRITICAL ROLE IN HELPING STUDENTS GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL BY PROVIDING THEM A SAFE PLACE TO DEVELOP EMOTIONALLY, SPIRITUALLY, AND PHYSICALLY.
