HOUSTON DRESSAGE SOCIETY IS DEDICATED TO FURTHERING THE ART OF DRESSAGE THROUGH THE PROMOTION OF DRESSAGE TRAINING AND EDUCATION, AND BY REWARDING EXCELLENCE IN THE ART OF DRESSAGE THROUGH COMPETITION.

THE HOUSTON DRESSAGE SOCIETY (HDS) HOSTED 5 NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS, INCLUDING THE REGION 9 CHAMPIONSHIP DRESSAGE COMPETITION. COMPETITORS WERE PLEASED WITH THE SHOW MANAGEMENT AND OFFICIATING AT ALL COMPETITIONS AND THEREBY WERE ENCOURAGED TO CONTINUE TO STRIVE FOR EXCELLENCE IN THE SPORT OF DRESSAGE.
MEMBERSHIP: HDS OFFERS ACCESS TO REGIONAL AND NATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS, INFORMATION, NEWSLETTERS, CLINICS, SYMPOSIA AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. HDS MEMBERSHIP WAS UNCHANGED IN 2022, STAYING AT APPROXIMATELY 300. THE ANNUAL BUSHAGER GRANT WAS FULLY FUNDED AGAIN IN 2022.
EDUCATION: HDS HOSTS CLINICS AND SYMPOSIA FEATURING NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOP TRAINERS AND RIDERS; HDS CONTRIBUTES TO EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES FOR MEMBERS AND LOCAL RIDERS AND CONTRIBUTES TO OTHER REGIONAL AND NATIONAL DRESSAGE COMPETITIONS. HDS RECOGNIZES LOCAL SCHOOLING COMPETITIONS AND HOSTS THE LOCAL SCHOOLING SHOW CHAMPIONSHIP COMPETITION. HDS IS LOOKING FORWARD TO RESTARTING ITS ANNUAL EDUCATION SERIES FOR UPPER LEVEL RIDERS AS COVID INTERNATIONAL TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS HAVE LIFTED.
