COMMUNITY ENGAGEMENT AND EMPOWERMENT - UNIQUE SANCTUARY AND WILDERNESS RETREAT CENTER THAT BRINGS PEOPLE TOGETHER THROUGH DIRECT RELATIONSHIP WITH RESCUED WOLVES. THE ORGANIZATION CONDUCT VISITS AND EVENTS TO BRING THE GENERAL PUBLIC TOGETHER TO HELP THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE FIND A WAY TO DEAL WITH STRESS, ANXIETY AND MOST RECENTLY SOCIAL ISOLATION BROUGHT ON BY THE PANDEMIC BY RECONNECTING THEM WITH NATURE, ANIMALS, OTHER HUMANS AND THEMSELVES. VISITORS COME SEEKING A POSITIVE EXPERIENCE WITH NATURE OR SIMPLY TIME AWAY WITH OUR MAJESTIC WOLVES, BUT THEY DISCOVER MUCH MORE. THEY LEARN RESILIENCE IN THE INSPIRATIONAL STORIES OF OUR RESCUED WOLVES. IN THEIR RECONNECTION WITH NATURE, THEY OPEN TO A DEEPER PART OF THEMSELVES. THE ORGANIZATION WAS ABLE TO DO 25 PRIVATE VISITS FOR THE PUBLIC IN 2021. THE ORGANIZATION OFFERED ASLIDING SCALEBASED ON WHAT THEY COULD AFFORD TO PAY, NO MATTER THE COST TO US IN STAFFING AND FOOD. WOLF CONNECTION WAS ALSO ABLE TO HOST 30 EVENTS SAFELY AND SUCCESSFULLY. AT THESE EVENTS, THE GUESTS SHARED THEIR OWN STORIES OF THE SADNESS AND TRAUMA THEY WITNESSED
AT RISK YOUTH AND EMPOWERMENT - THE ORGANIZATION EMPOWERS YOUTH TO BECOME AUTHENTIC LEADERS AND CONTRIBUTING COMMUNITY MEMBERS - THE ORGANIZATION ACCOMPLISHES THIS THROUGH FACILITATING EXPERIENTIAL RELATIONSHIPS WITH RESCUED WOLVES AND THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT. THE ORGANIZATION SERVED APPROXIMATELY 1500 YOUTH AND ADULTS VIA OUR ON-SITE EMPOWERMENT PROGRAMS, OUR LARGEST IMPACT TO DATE. IN ADDITION, THE ORGANIZATION SECURED FUNDING TO LAUNCH AN ONLINE SOCIAL EMOTIONAL LEARNING PROGRAM,WOLF LESSONS FOR HUMAN LIVES, INCLUDING MEDIA EDUCATIONAL OUTREACH AND MARKETING, THAT WILL ENGAGE AND SERVE APPROXIMATELY 200 YOUTH THIS YEAR AND UP TO 40,000 YOUTH IN THE NEXT THREE YEARS.ALSO, THE ORGANIZATION SECURED CONTRACTSWITH THREE MAJOR COUNTY DEPARTMENTS TO SERVE AN ADDITIONAL 100 - 400 YOUTH AND ADULTS VIA ON-SITE AND VIRTUAL PROGRAM IN 2022 AND 2023.
ANIMAL WELFARE AND RESCUE - ANIMAL RESCUE AND WILDLIFE PRESERVATION LOCATED IN SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA LOS ANGELES COUNTY A-RATED AND LICENSED WITH THE USDA LA COUNTY DEPT OF ANIMAL CARE AND CONTROL FOR THE RESCUE AND LIFETIME CARE OF WOLVES AND WOLF DOGS. ALL ANIMALS UNDER OUR CARE HAVE AN INDIVIDUALIZED HEALTH AND BEHAVIORAL PLAN THAT MEETS EACH ANIMALS NEEDS. THIS PLAN IS CONSTANTLY REVISED AND UPDATED. THE ORGANIZATION HAS 32 WOLVES AND WOLF DOGS IN OUR CARE AND CONTINUE TO EXPAND AND ACCEPT MORE AS NEEDED. THE ORGANIZATION RECENTLY APPLIED FOR OUR FISH AND WILDLIFE LICENSE TO RESCUE WHATS CONSIDERED FULL WOLVES IN THE NEAR FUTURE TO HELP SAVE THE POPULATION OF WOLVES IN DANGER. WOLVES ARE AN ENDANGERED AND PROTECTED SPECIES IN CERTAIN AREAS.
