"THERE'S A MONKEY IN MY CHAIR"- THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED FOR PRESCHOOL AND ELEMENTARY-AGED CHILDREN WHO ARE MISSING SCHOOL BECAUSE OF CANCER. EACH CHILD IS PROVIDED WITH A MONKEY KIT FEATURING A LARGE STUFFED MONKEY THAT TAKES THEIR PLACE IN SCHOOL WHEN THEY ARE UNABLE TO BE THERE. THE KIT INCLUDES A BACKPACK, BOOK, AND OTHER ITEMS THAT CAN BE UTILIZED BY THE CHILD AND THEIR CLASSMATES INCLUDING A SECURE WAY TO SEND E-MAILS AND PICTURES TO ONE ANOTHER. THE PROGRAM IS DISTRIBUTED THROUGH MORE THAN 200 HOSPITALS ACROSS THE UNITED STATES. THE PROGRAM IS PROVIDED AT NO COST TO THE FAMILY AND HOSPITAL.
FAMILY SUPPORT - THE LOVE, CHLOE FAMILY SUPPORT PROGRAM PROVIDES DIRECT FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO FAMILIES THAT HAVE A CHILD DIAGNOSED WITH CANCER. THIS SUPPORT IS THROUGH FAMILY GRANTS, WARRIOR WAGONS, AND ONE-ON-ONE SUPPORT. THE WARRIOR WAGONS PROVIDE FAMILIES WITH ESSENTIAL TRAVEL ITEMS, TOILETRIES, BLANKETS, GAMES, TOYS, ACTIVITIES, SNACK, AND MANY OTHER ITEMS FOR THE CHILD, THEIR SIBLINGS, AND PARENTS. WAGONS ALSO INCLUDE GIFT CARDS FOR THE FAMILY TO HELP WITH FOOD AND TRAVEL EXPENSES. RESEARCH - THE LOVE, CHLOE FOUNDATION FUNDS GROUND-BREAKING RESEARCH THROUGH THE DIPG COLLABORATIVE AND THE DIPG/DMG RESEARCH FUNDING ALLIANCE. WE WORK WITH SEVERAL OTHER ORGANIZATIONS TO MAKE A BIGGER IMPACT WITH OUR RESEARCH FUNDING AND ALSO TO ELIMINATE DUPLICATION. WE WORK TOGETHER TO MAKE SURE WE ARE FUNDING THE BEST AND MOST INNOVATIVE RESEARCH.
