TO SURROUND STUDENTS WITH A COMMUNITY OF SUPPORT, EMPOWERING THEM TO STAY IN SCHOOL AND ACHIEVE IN LIFE.

THROUGH THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR, OVER 39,000 STUDENTS AND THEIR FAMILIES WERE REACHED THROUGH SCHOOL-WIDE EVENTS OR BENEFITED FROM BASIC NEED ITEMS (INCLUDING HYGIENE ITEMS, CLOTHING, FOOD, SCHOOL SUPPLIES, AND BUS PASSES.) REFERRALS TO COMMUNITY RESOURCES WERE ALSO PROVIDED, ALONG WITH CRISIS INTERVENTION WHEN NEEDED. THERE WERE OVER 163,000 OCCURRENCES OF PARTICIPANTS ATTENDING OUR SCHOOL-WIDE EVENTS, WHILE WE PROVIDED 278,637 BASIC NEED ITEMS FOR OVER 91,000 REQUESTS. WE SERVED 3,600 STUDENTS THROUGH INDIVIDUALIZED CASE-MANAGED SUPPORT, FOCUSING ON NEEDS IN ACADEMICS, BEHAVIOR, AND ATTENDANCE. CASE-MANAGED STUDENTS ACHIEVED PROGRESS AT THE FOLLOWING RATES DURING THE SCHOOL YEAR: ACADEMICS 80%; ATTENDANCE 72%; AND, BEHAVIOR 87%. ALSO, 98% OF THESE STUDENTS STAYED IN SCHOOL; 99% WERE PROMOTED TO THEIR NEXT GRADE LEVEL, AND 94% OF ELIGIBLE SENIORS GRADUATED. OF THAT 94% WHO GRADUATED, WE KNOW OF 42% THAT HAVE PLANS FOR POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION/MILITARY SERVICE.
