DURING THE YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2023, LEAD GUITAR PROVIDED EIGHT HOURS OF FORMAL PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT SESSIONS FOR 82 OF ITS 103 CERTIFIED PUBLIC-SCHOOL TEACHERS IN TUCSON, PHOENIX, LOS ANGELES, DENVER, CHICAGO, AND ATLANTA. WORKSHOPS WERE HOSTED ONLINE (NATIONALLY) AND IN-PERSON IN EACH LOCAL MARKET. WORKSHOPS UTILIZED THE TALENTS OF EVERY STAFF MEMBER TO EITHER TEACH A PORTION OF THE WORKSHOP OR PROVIDE UP TO 90 MINUTES OF PRIVATE LESSONS PER ATTENDEE.IN THE 2022-23 ACADEMIC YEAR, LEAD GUITAR SERVED 242 CLASSROOMS IN 94 SCHOOLS IN 5 STATES, TEACHING 6,432 STUDENTS TO PLAY GUITAR AND 103 PUBLIC SCHOOL TEACHERS TO TEACH GUITAR. LEAD GUITAR BROUGHT PROFESSIONAL GUITARISTS TO 21 IN-SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES OVER THE SCHOOL YEAR AND HOSTED SIX SPRING SHOWCASE CONCERTS IN APRIL AND MAY 2023, BEGINNING A RETURN TO PRE-COVID NUMBERS FOR THESE EVENTS AND THE STUDENTS THEY SERVE.EVEN AS SHOWCASES RETURN, LEAD GUITAR CONTINUES TO PRODUCE A TWICE-YEARLY YOUTUBE BROADCAST CALLED WE ARE GUITAR, FEATURING GUEST GUITAR LUMINARIES, INTERVIEWS WITH GUEST ARTISTS AND STUDENTS, AND STUDENT VIRTUAL GUITAR ENSEMBLE PERFORMANCES ALONG WITH EACH GUEST ARTIST. THE SHOW WAS ORIGINALLY DEVELOPED DURING THE PANDEMIC AS A REPLACEMENT FOR SHOWCASE CONCERTS.
