THE FUND WILL PROMOTE THE LONG-TERM PRESERVATION OF DECENT, SAFE AND AFFORDABLE HOUSING FOR LOW- AND MODERATE-INCOME PERSONS AND FAMILIES AND MAY SEEK TO COMBAT COMMUNITY DETERIORATION AND/OR PROMOTE ECONOMIC REVITALIZATION OF DISTRESSED AREAS. IN FURTHERANCE OF SUCH PURPOSES, THE FUND WILL ENGAGE IN PEER-TO-PEER TRAINING, NETWORKING, EDUCATION AND OTHER SIMILAR ACTIVITIES IN SUPPORT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT NON-PROFITS NATIONWIDE, ESPECIALLY THOSE THAT ARE MEMBERS OF THE NEIGHBORWORKS NETWORK.

THE FUND SUPPORTED THE ANNUAL NEIGHBORWORKS EXECUTIVE SYMPOSIUM, BRING TOGETHER OVER 400 EXECUTIVES FROM THE HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT FIELD TO SHARE IDEAS, EXPERIENCES AND BEST PRACTICES WITH THEIR PEERS. THE FUND PROVIDED FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR PLENARY SESSIONS, EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS AND SMALL PEER MEETINGS FOCUSING SPECIFICALLY ON HOW TO STABILIZE AND INCREASE IMPACT BY HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT LEADERS, AND THEIR ORGANIZATIONS ON LOW AND MODERATE INCOME COMMUNITIES THAT THEY SERVE.


THE FUND ALSO SUPPORTED INNOVATIVE LENDING AND CAPITAL INITIATIVES WITH THE GOAL OF ADDITIONAL ACCESS FOR CAPITAL BY LOW TO MODERATE INCOME HOME OWNERS, SMALL BUSINESSES AND OTHERS.
