SEE SCHEDULE O:APPLIED EDUCATION:THE ORGANIZATION HOSTS NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP-LEVEL CHESS COMPETITIONS TO MAKE ITS STUDENTS AWARE OF HOW FAR EACH STUDENTS' ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENTS COULD TAKE HIM/HER. THE ORGANIZATION AFFORDS STUDENTS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE NATIONALLY AND INTERNATIONALLY RECOGNIZED PLAYERS COMPETE WITH ONE ANOTHER ON AN APPLIED EDUCATIONAL PLATFORM, I.E., CHESS STRATEGY AT CHAMPIONSHIP LEVELS. THE ORGANIZATION'S LEADERSHIP BELIEVES THAT NATIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL TOURNAMENTS MOTIVATE ITS STUDENTS TO EXCEL AT LEARNING CHESS SO THEY TOO MIGHT SOMEDAY COMPETE FOR SUBSTANTIAL CASH PRIZES AS WELL AS ACHIEVE PERSONAL AND INTELLECTUAL RECOGNITION AND VALIDATION.THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED THE U.S. CHAMPIONSHIP, U.S. WOMEN'S CHAMPIONSHIP, U.S. JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIP, U.S. GIRLS' CHAMPIONSHIP AND U.S. SENIOR CHAMPIONSHIP. ADDITIONALLY, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED THE SINQUEFIELD CUP AND THE RAPIDS AND BLITZ, INTERNATIONAL COMPETITIONS AMONG 20 OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD. HOSTING THESE EVENTS BROUGHT INTERNATIONAL ATTENTION TO THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION.
SEE SCHEDULE O:DIRECT CLASSROOM:THE PRIMARY ACTIVITY OF THE ORGANIZATION IS INSTRUCTING STUDENTS IN THE GAME OF CHESS. THE CLASSROOM ACTIVITIES OCCUR IN TWO MODES: FIRST, AT THE ORGANIZATION'S CAMPUS AT 4657 MARYLAND AVENUE, SAINT LOUIS, MO AND IN PARTICIPATING "SATELLITE CLASSROOMS" AT VARIOUS SCHOOLS (K-12), UNIVERSITIES AND COLLEGES, AND COMMUNITY CENTERS IN THE GREATER METRO SAINT LOUIS AREA ("PARTICIPATING SCHOOLS"). EXTRAORDINARILY IN 2020, THE ORGANIZATION IMPLEMENTED VIRTUAL LEARNING EXPERIENCES FOR STUDENTS DUE TO THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. FULL-TIME INSTRUCTORS AND PART-TIME INSTRUCTORS TEACH LESSONS AT THE CAMPUS, IN AREA SCHOOLS, AND VIRTUALLY FROM THEIR HOMES. APPROXIMATELY, FOUR HUNDRED STUDENTS ARE ENROLLED IN CLASSES AT THE CAMPUS AND THERE ARE MORE THAN FIVE THOUSAND STUDENTS WHO ARE ENROLLED IN THE PARTICIPATING SCHOOL AND VIRTUAL CLASSES. FORMAL CLASSES AND TEXTBOOKS ARE USED IN BOTH EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES OF THE ORGANIZATION. DURING 2021, THE ORGANIZATION HOSTED AND ORGANIZED MORE THAN 100 TOURNAMENTS AND 200 LECTURES, CLASSES AND SPECIAL EDUCATIONAL ACTIVITIES. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO ORGANIZED VIRTUAL INSTRUCTIONAL SUMMER CAMPS FOR LOCAL AND NON-LOCAL STUDENTS, INCLUDING CAMPS FOR THE VERY BEST STUDENT CHESS PLAYERS FROM AROUND THE COUNTRY.
