THE GREATER OHIO POLICY CENTER (GOPC) SUCCESSFULLY EDUCATED POLICYMAKERS ON THE BENEFITS OF FUNDING THE REMEDIATION OF ENVIRONMENTALLY-CONTAMINATED LAND (AKA BROWNFIELDS). GOPC CREATED A WEBSITE AND WEBINAR SERIES TO HELP EDUCATE COMMUNITES ABOUT THIS NEW RESOURCE. GOPC, IN PARTNERSHIP WITH THE LINCOLN INSTITUTE OF LAND POLICY, RELEASED A LARGE REPORT ON STRATEGIES FOR EQUITABLY REINVESTING IN AMERICA'S SMALLER LEGACY CITIES. GOPC PUBLISHED A HOUSING MARKET ASSESSMENT OF PORTSMOUTH, AND ASSESSED THE IMPACT OF THE OHIO PRESERVATION COMPACT, WHICH PROTECTED NEARLY 12,000 UNITS OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING IN THE LAST DECADE. LAST, STAFF ATTENDED A DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION TRAINING AND CONTINUED ACTIVITIES TO ADVANCE THE ORGANIZATION'S COMMITMENT TO DEI.
