OUR PROGRAMS INCLUDE: "CONNECTING CANINES" THERAPY DOG TRAINING AND CERTIFICATIONS WITH INDIVIDUALS AND THEIR PET DOGS. CONNECTING CANINES IS OUR THERAPY DOG CERTIFICATION PROGRAM. WE RIGOROUSLY SCREEN AND PREPARE ASPIRING THERAPY DOG TEAMS TO HIGH STANDARDS FOR SAFETY AND PROFESSIONALISM. WE PROVIDE EXISTING TEAMS WITH ONGOING TRAINING OPPORTUNITIES, SUPPORT, HELP WITH FINDING PLACES TO VISIT, AND THE OPPORTUNITY TO VISIT WITHIN OUR OTHER PROGRAMS. CERTIFIED THERAPY DOG TEAMS ARE COVERED UNDER OUR LIABILITY INSURANCE FOR VOLUNTEER THERAPY DOG VISITS. "BOW WOWS AND BOOKS" CHILDREN'S LITERACY SUPPORT - BOW WOWS AND BOOKS IS A CHILDREN'S LITERACY SUPPORT PROGRAM BASED ON INTERMOUNTAIN THERAPY ANIMALS' WELL-RESPECTED R.E.A.D (READING EDUCATION ASSISTANCE DOGS) CURRICULUM AND IS HELD AT 5 SEATTLE PUBLIC LIBRARY BRANCHES DURING THE MONTHS OF THE SCHOOL YEAR. ALL PARTICIPATING TEAMS ARE TRAINED AND CERTIFIED THROUGH PROJECT CANINE'S CONNECTING CANINES THERAPY DOG PROGRAM.
