THE MISSION OF THE LAKE CITY FIRE COMPANY IS TO PROTECT THE LIVES AND PROPERTY OF THE CITIZENS AND VISITORS OF THE LAKE CITY COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING THE HIGHEST POSSIBLE LEVELS OF SERVICE THROUGH FIRE PREVENTION, PUBLIC EDUCATION, FIRE SUPPRESSION, EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES, RESCUE OPERATIONS, AND MITIGATION OF THE EFFECTS OF NATURAL AND MAN-MADE DISASTERS. THE COMPANY IS 100% VOLUNTEER. DURING FISCAL YEAR 2019-2020, VOLUNTEERS LOGGED 9,672 VOLUNTEER HOURS BY RESPONDING TO 520 EMERGENCY CALLS, ATTENDING NUMEROUS TRAINING SESSIONS AND PROVIDING SUPPORT SERVICES TO THE COMMUNITY.
