THE AIM OF THE FAMILY COUNSELING CENTER IS TO PROVIDE RESPECTFUL AND COURTEOUS SERVICE TO THE PUBLIC, TO ENHANCE EACH PERSON'S SENSE OF VALUE AND SELF-ESTEEM, AND TO FOSTER SELF-ACCEPTANCE, SELF-RELIANCE, EMPOWERMENT AND RECOVERY.

SERVICES INCLUDE GENERAL MENTAL HEALTH, COUNSELING, AND OTHER SUPPORTIVE SERVICES FOR APPROXIMATELY 5000 CONSUMERS. THE AGENCY CONTINUED TO ADDRESS THE DEMAND IN THE SCHOOL SETTING BY EXPANDING SCHOOL-BASED THERAPY IN THREE DISTRICTS, BRINGING THE TOTAL NUMBER OF SCHOOL-BASED THERAPISTS TO TWELVE AND BY ADDING TWO SCHOOL BASED SOCIAL WORKERS IN THE ARMSTRONG SCHOOL DISTRICT. THE AGENCY ALSO RECRUITED A PART TIME (25 HOURS/WEEK) PSYCHIATRIST.
