RENOVATION OF THE FORMER GC MURPHY BUILDING CONTINUES, WITH THREE MAIN FOCUSES: ONE, THE STAIRS AT THE FRONT OF THE BUILDING USED FOR THE UPSTAIRS APARTMENTS; TWO, EXTENSIVE RENOVATIONS OF ONE OF THOSE APARTMENTS; THREE, THE ADDITION OF A STORAGE ROOM TO ONE SIDE OF THE MUSEUM TO BE USED FOR STORING THE SOCIETY'S INCOME PRODUCING BOOKS. (A $4,000 STATE GRANT WAS RECEIVED FOR THESE IMPROVEMENTS, PLUS A $15,000 CHARITABLE LOCAL CONTRIBUTION.) THE ANNEX HAD 1448 VISITOR SIGNING THE GUEST REGISTRY OVER THE PAST FISCAL YEAR.
