CMA TRUSTS ARTISTS TO DEFINE WHAT THE FIELD OF ARTS IS. ACCORDINGLY, OUR CORE PROGRAMMING TAKES AN INTEGRATED APPROACH TO ENGAGE CHILDREN, ARTISTS, THEIR COMMUNITIES, AND THE WORLD. WE ACHIEVE THIS THROUGH A 4-PRONGED PROCESS: (1) WE DEVELOP DEEP PARTNERSHIPS WITH NYC NEIGHBORHOODS AND SCHOOLS TO EMBED FREE ACCESS TO THE ARTS DIRECTLY INTO THE COMMUNITY; (2) WE MAKE THE ART WORLD MORE INCLUSIVE FOR CHILDREN AND FAMILIES THROUGH SPECIAL ON-SITE VISITS AND INTIMATE ENCOUNTERS WITH ARTISTS, CURATORS, AND OTHER ARTS PROFESSIONALS; (3) WE ESTABLISHED THE FIRST DEDICATED DIGITAL SPACE FOR CHILDREN'S ARTS EDUCATION WHERE WE CREATE, STORE, AND SHARE OUR CREATIVITY WITH THE WORLD; 4) WE PUBLICLY CELEBRATE THE ARTISTRY OF CHILDREN THROUGH EXHIBITIONS, PROGRAMMING AND OUR GROWING PERMANENT COLLECTION OF 2,000 PIECES OF CHILDREN'S ART FROM OVER 50 COUNTRIES THAT DATE BACK MORE THAN 80 YEARS.
