PUBLIC PROGRAMMING: SERVED 400 PARTICIPANTS IN OUR PUBLIC PROGRAMMING. THIS YEAR, PROGRAMMING INCLUDED 2 VIRTUAL EVENTS (HISTORY HAPPY HOURS) AS WELL AS 12 SOCIALLY DISTANCED HISTORY WALKS. BUILT OUR SOCIAL MEDIA TO SHARE MORE ASPECTS OF ISSAQUAHS PAST AND A VIRTUAL AUDIENCE WHILE PHYSICAL VISITS TO THE MUSEUM ARE NOT FEASIBLE. REVISED OUR WEBSITE TO MAKE MORE INFORMATION AVAILABLE TO THE PUBLIC.
COLLECTIONS: CARED FOR A COLLECTION OF MORE THAN 40,000 ARTIFACTS, PHOTOGRAPHS, AND OTHER ITEMS REPRESENTING ISSAQUAHS HISTORY. CONDUCTED ORAL HISTORIES TO ADD TO THE COLLECTION. CONTINUED TO SHARE ARTIFACTS AND PHOTOGRAPHS VIA OUR ONLINE COLLECTIONS. CONTINUED OUR CAPITAL CAMPAIGN TO RENOVATE THE ISSAQUAH AUTO FREIGHT BUILDING, CREATING A DEDICATED COLLECTIONS STORAGE FACILITY.
MUSEUMS & EXHIBITS: LAUNCHED AN OUTDOOR STORY WALK AND VIRTUAL EXHIBIT TO REACH A VIRTUAL AUDIENCE. WELCOMED SEVERAL HUNDRED VISITORS TO THE ISSAQUAH DEPOT, WHERE THEY VIEWED EXHIBITS ABOUT THE HISTORY OF ISSAQUAH. THIS PROGRAM HAS SUFFERED THE MOST FROM THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
