CCHS OPERATED A NO-TIME-LIMITS ANIMAL SHELTER SERVICING THREE COUNTIES IN MICHIGANS UPPER PENINSULA. SINCE SHELTERING IS OUR PRIMARY PURPOSE, THE EXPENSES TABULATED HERE INCLUDE ALL ASPECTS OF SHELTER OPERATION (OCCUPANCY, PAYROLL, DEPRECIATION) AND ANIMAL CARE EXPENSES. CCHS SHELTERED 621 ANIMALS FOR AT LEAST ONE NIGHT IN FISCAL YEAR 2023.
PROVIDED FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE TO HELP LOW INCOME PET OWNERS WITH THE COST OF SPAY/NEUTER SURGERIES FOR THEIR PETS, 18 PET OWNERS ASSISTED THROUGH THIS OUTREACH PROGRAM IN FISCAL YEAR 2023.
