IASP IS A MEMBERSHIP ORGANIZATION THAT PROVIDES EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS AND FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES TO MEMBERS IN DIFFERENT WAYS. THE ASSOCIATION PROVIDES GRANTS AND FELLOWSHIPS TO ASSIST MEMBERS WITH RESEARCH AND COLLABORATION GLOBALLY. ADDITIONALLY, THE ASSOCIATION SUPPORTS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS GLOBALLY VIA ONLINE EDUCATION, PAIN SCHOOLS, PAIN CAMPS, HOSPITAL-BASED FELLOWSHIPS AND OTHER EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS. IN ADDITION, IASP SUPPORTS ITS GLOBAL CHAPTERS THROUGH NUMEROUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS.
EDUCATION:IASP HOSTS MULTIPLE MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR. THE SOCIETY'S FLAGSHIP MEETING IS THE WORLD CONGRESS ON PAIN HOSTED ON A BIENNIAL BASIS AND ATTRACTS 5 - 7,000 ATTENDEES FROM AROUND THE WORLD. ADDITIONALLY, IASP HOSTS OTHER MEETINGS SPONSORED BY IASP SIGS INCLUDING THE INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS ON NEUROPATHIC PAIN.
PUBLICATIONS: IASP PUBLISHES TWO PEER REVIEWED JOURNALS, PAIN AND PAIN REPORTS. FINALLY, IASP PUBLISHES TWO NEWS WEBSITES, THE "IASP PAIN RESEARCH FORUM AND "RELIEF" TO SERVE BOTH THE PAIN RESEARCH AND PATIENT COMMUNITIES.
