MAINTAIN A GAME REFUGE TO PROTECT WILDLIFE AND FOREST LANDS. ORGANIZE A CERT TEAM TO ASSIST LOCAL AUTHORITY DURING EMERGENCY AND ESTABLISH A PUBLIC SERVICE ACADEMY TO TEACH COMMUNITY SAFETY PROGRAMS AND MAINTAIN A SAFE RANGE FOR COMPETITION AND TEACH PROPER FIREARM SAFETY.

AS A GAME REFUGE WE NEEDED TO REMOVE SOME OLD BRUSH AND TIMBER THAT HAD REACHED MATURITY AND DYING OUT AND OPEN UP 60 ACRES FOR WILDLIFE REFUGE AREAS CONSISTING OF YOUNG NEW GROWTH FEED LOTS FOR LOCAL WILDLIFE. WE ALSO LEFT STACKS OF OLD TIMBER AS AREAS THE ANIMALS COULD BUILD DENS IN AND UNDER. WE HAVE ALREADY NOTICED A HUGE INFLUX OF BEAR, DEER, RACCOON, POSSUM AND OTHERS ON TO THE PROPERTY. WE ALSO UNCOVERED SEVERAL ILLEGAL HUNTING STANDS AND NOTIFIED LOCAL LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR PROSECUTION. ABSOLUTELY NO ANIMALS SHALL BE HARMED OR THE DISTURBING OF THEIR NATURAL HABITAT WITH OUT EXPRESS PERMISSION FROM THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS.
COACHED HANDGUN TRAINING AND MATCHES TO INCREASE GUN SAFETY TO THE PUBLIC. OUR FIRST YEAR RUNNING USPSA MATCHES AND STEEL MATCHES FOR THE PUBLIC APPROXIMATELY 769 MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC PARTICIPATED IN MULTIPLE MATCHES AND TRAINING.
TEACHING NRA BASIC PISTOL COURSE TO CLUB MEMBERS AND GENERAL PUBLIC TO PROMOTE HANDGUN SAFETY AND PROPER USE. 16 STUDENTS IN THE LAST TWO QUARTERS OF OUR FIRST YEAR.
