TO PRESERVE THE INSTITUTION OF LIVE PERFORMANCE OF TRADITIONAL CONCERT, SYMPHONIC AND MARCHING BAND MUSIC. TO THIS END, THE BAND SHALL MAINTAIN A LIBRARY OF MUSICAL ARRANGEMENTS AND PROTECT IT FROM DETERIORATION.

PERFORMANCE OF CONCERTS AND PARADES BEFORE APPROXIMATELY 10,000 PEOPLE. THIS ACTIVITY EDUCATES THE PUBLIC IN THE AMERICAN ART FORM WHILE PROVIDING A MEANS OF ENTERTAINMENT AND RELAXATION.


THE NEW HOLLAND BAND SCHOLARSHIP AWARD IS GIVEN TO INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE DEMONSTRATED WORTHINESS AS ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE BAND AND HAVE FURTHERED THEIR EDUCATION TO THE EXTENT THAT THEY HAVE ACHEIVED PROMINENCE IN THEIR CHOSEN FIELDS.


MAINTENANCE OF A MUSEUM THAT DISPLAYS BAND MEMORABILIA AND ARTIFACTS FROM THE MID 1620'S TO THE PRESENT, INCLUDING A JOHN PHILIP SOUSA COLLECTION.


GRANTS GIVEN TO THE LANCASTER COUNTY COMMUNITY FOUNDATION FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE ONE DAY EVENT COORDINATED EVERY YEAR FOR ONE DAY OF GIVING. THE EVENT IS HELD EACH YEAR TO SEE HOW MUCH MONEY CAN BE DONATED TO LOCAL CHARITIES IN A 24 HOUR TIME PERIOD. GRANTS ALSO GIVEN FOR RELATED EVENTS THROUGHOUT THE YEAR.
