DONAUESCHINGEN IN A PROGRAM OF ALL WORLD PREMIERES IN OCTOBER 2022, TALEA PERFORMS FOR THE FIRST TIME AT DONAUESCHINGER MUSIKTAGE IN GERMANY. THE PROGRAM CONSISTED OF MAURO LANZA'S GRETCHEN AND THE FRAGMENT ON MACHINES, ALEXANDER GOEHR'S DOUBLE CHACONNE WITH GAPS, JOANNA WOZNY'S BLENDEN | TILGUNGEN, AND IRIS TER SCHIPHORST'S HYPER-DUB.


ALL OTHER ACCOMPLISHMENTS THE TALES ENSEMBLE IS COMMITTED TO PROMOTING NEW GROUNDBREAKING MUSIC THROUGH INNOVATIVE PROGRAMMING THEREBY COMMUNICATING THE DISTINCTIVE VOICE OF COMPOSERS. THE TALEA ENSEMBLE AIMS TO INCREASE THE AWARENESS AND UNDERSTANDING OF CONTEMPORARY MUSIC THROUGH ACADEMIC RESIDENCIES, OUTREACH CONCERTS IN ADDITION TO PERFORMANCES, PROJECTS AND WORKSHOPS FOR BORAD AUDIENCES.


TIME OF MUSIC TALEA RETURNED TO VIITASAARI, FINLAND, TO PERFORM TWO CONCERTS AT THE TIME OF MUSIC FESTIVAL. THE FIRST CONCERT PRESENTED THE WORLD PREMIERE OF MARK APPLEBAUM'S VENTURE CAPITAL PUNISHMENT. IN ANOTHER PROGRAM, TALEA PERFORMED JULIUS EASTMAN'S FEMENINE.


TIME SPANS IN AUGUST 2022, TALEA PERFORMED AT THE DIMENNA CENTER FOR CLASSICAL MUSIC AS A PART OF THE TIME:SPANS FESTIVAL. THE PROGRAM INCLUDED THE WORLD PREMIERE OF KATHERINE BALCH'S DRIP MUSIC (VERSION FOR 9 PLAYERS) AND THE US PREMIERES OF IGOR SANTOS' PORTRAIT IO AND REBECCA SAUNDERS' SKIN. ANHTONY CHEUN'S A LINE CAN GO ANYWHERE AND WORKS BY ASHLEY FURE AND MATTHIAS PINTSCHER.
