MAIN STREET EXHIBIT. THE MUSEUM HAS UNDERTAKEN A LARGE SCALE PERMANENT EXHIBIT THAT WILL GIVE VISITORS A VIEW OF WHAT THE LOCAL TOWN LOOKED LIKE IN THE 1920'S THRU 1930'S. THIS WIL NOT BE COMPLETED UNTIL THE MID 2022 AT THE EARLIEST.
BRANDING IRON EXHIBIT. THE MUSEUM HAS BEGUN CONSTRUCTION OF A BRANDING IRON EXHIBIT FOR VISITORS TO VIEW THE HISTORY OF BRANDING IN THE LOCAL SAN LUIS OBISPO COUNTY. IT INCLUDES IDENTIFICATION OF HISTORIC BRANDS IN OUR COLLECTION. THIS EXHIBIT WILL BE COMPLETE IN EARLY 2021.
OTHER DISPLAY IMPROVEMENTS: INCLUDES CONTINUED EFFORTS TO RESTORE ALL LOCAL HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL FILMS AND MOVE THEM FROM 16MM FILM REELS TO A NEW DIGITAL FORMAT; A NEW SCHOOL EXHIBIT; INSTALLATION AND LIGHTING FOR A DONATED PAINTING FROM A FAMOUS LOCAL ARTIST AND VARIOUS OTHER DISPLAY IMPROVEMENTS.
