HISTORY SAN JOSES FY21 ACHIEVEMENTS INCLUDED ONGOING EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING FOR 2ND 5TH GRADE SCHOOL CHILDREN. DURING THE PANDEMIC, HSJ WAS ABLE TO ACHIEVE SUCCESS IN PRESENTING VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING SO THAT DISTRICTS WERE ABLE TO OFFER QUALITY VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING UNTIL STUDENTS ARE ABLE TO RESUME ON SITE PROGRAMMING. IN ADDITION TO SCHOOLS VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING, HSJ OFFERED VIRTUAL ADULT PUBLIC PROGRAMMING, ACHIEVING EDUCATIONAL GOALS DURING THIS TIME. DURING FY21, HSJ COLLABORATED WITH BAYMEC TO PRESENT A NEW EXHIBIT, COMING OUT: 50 YEARS OF QUEER RESISTANCE & RESILIENCE IN SILICON VALLEY.HISTORY PARK IS A 14-ACRE OUTDOOR SETTING, HSJ ALLOWED SOME GROUPS TO GATHER ON SITE WHILE COMPLYING WITH AND MONITORING STATE, COUNTY, AND CITY COVID REQUIREMENTS AT ALL TIMES. HSJ WAS ABLE TO MAINTAIN FINANCIAL STABILITY THROUGH MEMBERSHIP, GRANTS AND LOANS TO KEEP CURRENT STAFF WHILE ADDING TWO FULL-TIME STAFF POSITIONS TO ACCOMMODATE MARKETING AND EVENT SITE USE.
