AS PART OF ITS DIRECT CHARITABLE ACTIVITIES, THE FOUNDATION'S STAFF, VOLUNTEERS, AND BOARD MEMBERS DELIVERED HIGH SCHOOL AND POST-SECONDARY EDUCATION PROGRAMS, WHILE NURTURING HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS TO IDENTIFY FINANCIAL RESOURCES FOR DEGREE ATTAINMENT. THIS PROMOTED EQUITABLE ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE AND FILLED THE GAP OF HEALTHCARE PROVIDERS IN THE SOUTHWEST GEORGIA REGION. AS PART OF THE ACTIVITIES, THE FOUNDATION EDUCATED MORE THAN 450 STUDENTS ACCEPTED 1120 REQUESTS FOR SCHOLARSHIPS AND AWARDED 57 GRANTS, SCHOLARSHIPS, AND OTHER RESOURCES TO ENCOURAGE STUDY, RESEARCH, AND FURTHER EDUCATION AND PURSUIT OF HEALTHCARE-RELATED PROFESSIONS. THE FOUNDATION MAINTAINED SIGNIFICANT INVOLVEMENT WITH RECIPIENTS BY MONITORING DEGREE PROGRESSION AND OFFERED COACHING, CAREER DEVELOPMENT, AND JOB PLACEMENT COUNSEL. THAT CONTRIBUTES TO WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT, DECREASES POVERTY, IMPROVES ACCESS TO HEALTHCARE, AND FILLS WORKFORCE GAPS IN THE EDUCATIONAL AND HEALTHCARE INDUSTRY.
THE FOUNDATION, IN COLLABORATION WITH ATTORNEYS, ACCOUNTANTS, EDUCATORS, FACULTY, AND BOARD MEMBERS, CONDUCTED DUE DILIGENCE, INTERVIEWS, MENTORING, COACHING, AND DELIVERED NUMEROUS SEMINARS, WEBINARS, AND IN-PERSON PRESENTATIONS. APPROXIMATELY 500 HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE STUDENTS AND EDUCATORS WERE INSTRUCTED ON OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL PURSUITS IN HEALTHCARE RELATED FIELDS AND HOW TO IDENTIFY LOCAL, REGIONAL, AND NATIONAL SCHOLARSHIP, AND FUNDING OPPORTUNITIES FOR EDUCATIONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ASPIRATIONS. THE FOUNDATION FURTHER ADVISED AND COACHED POTENTIAL, CURRENT, AND FUTURE POTENTIAL GRANT RECIPIENTS WHICH ENCOURAGED FINANCIAL LITERACY AND INDEPENDENCE. THE EFFORTS ASSISTED THE FOUNDATION AND ITS PROGRAM RECIPIENTS WITH THEIR EDUCATIONAL ENDEAVORS AND PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT.
THE FOUNDATION STAFF, BOARD, AND EDUCATORS DELIVERED EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS, CONFERENCES, AND PEER PRESENTATIONS FOR APPROXIMATELY 400 HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONALS, SECONDARY AND POST-SECONDARY EDUCATORS THAT SHARED SCHOLARLY ARTICLES, INFORMATION, AND RESEARCH RESULTS AND PROVIDED PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT AND REQUIRED CONTINUED EDUCATION UNITS FOR A VARIETY OF FIELDS OF HEALTHCARE DISCIPLINES.
