MAINTAINING AND PRESERVING THREE HISTORIC HOUSE MUSEUMS AND THEIR HISTORIC GARDENS AND GROUNDS FOR THE CONDUCT OF VARIOUS EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMMING INCLUDING PUBLIC TOURS, SCHOOL FIELD TRIPS, SEMINARS AND SYMPOSIA, SUMMER CAMPS,


ALLOCATION OF EXPENSES FOR ADMINISTERING SCHOLARSHIPS ANDGRANTS INCURRED BY THE FOUNDATION OFFICE. ALLOCATION ISBASED ON A COMBINATION OF DIRECT COST AND A PERCENTAGE OFALL OTHER EXPENSES.


TOM WATSON BROWN BOOK AWARD. THE ANNUAL AWARD IS MADE THROUGH THE AUSPICES OF THE SOCIETY OF CIVIL WAR HISTORIAN FOR A SINGLE OUTSTANDING BOOK ON THE AMERICAN CIVIL WAR. SCHOLARLY AND TRADE PRESSES SUBMIT BOOKS FOR CONSIDERATION BY A THREE JUROR PANEL OF CIVIL WAR SCHOLARS.
