TEXAS OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY ASSOCIATION, INC. (TOTA) IS RESPONSIVE TO THE PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, INFORMATION NEEDS, AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS OF ITS MEMBERS AND THE PUBLIC THAT IT SERVES THROUGH VARIOUS SERVICES PROVIDED BY THE CENTRAL ASSOCIATION OFFICE AND VARIOUS STANDING COMMITTEES, PUBLIC RELATION EFFORTS, LEGISLATIVE ADVISEMENTS, PUBLIC, AND PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION EFFORTS, ETC. TOTA CONTINUES IN ITS EFFORTS TO ADVANCE, IMPROVE THE PRACTICE OF OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY FOR THE BENEFIT OF THE PUBLIC, TO ANTICIPATE AND RESPOND TO THE ORGANIZATIONAL, POLITICAL, ECONOMIC, AND SOCIAL FEATURES OF THE HEALTH CARE DELIVERY SYSTEM AT THE LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL LEVELS. ANNUAL CONFERENCES, CONTINUING PROFESSIONAL EDUCATION WORKSHOPS/SEMINARS, THE REVISTA NEWSLETTER THAT IS PUBLISHED MULTIPLE TIMES ANNUALLY, AND OTHER PROGRAMS TO ASSIST IN THE MAINTENANCE AND IMPROVEMENT OF PROFESSIONAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCE OF ITS PROFESSIONALS. TOTA PROVIDES A FORUM FOR ITS MEMBERS TO COMMUNICATE WITH ONE ANOTHER ABOUT THE DEVELOPMENTS IN THIS FIELD, AREAS OF MUTUAL INTERESTS AND CONCERNS, AND OTHER TOPICS OF INTEREST TO THIS PROFESSION.
