THE MISSION OF THE VALLEY INDUSTRY & COMMERCE ASSOCIATION IS TO ENHANCE THE ECONOMIC VITALITY OF THE GREATER SAN FERNANDO VALLEY REGION BY ADVOCATING FOR A BETTER BUSINESS CLIMATE AND QUALITY OF LIFE.

THE VICA BUSINESS FORECAST CONFERENCE IS A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY FOR THE VALLEY'S BUSINESS COMMUNITY TO INFLUENCE THE LEGISLATIVE PROCESS IN ORDER TO PROMOTE VICA'S MISSION OF ADVOCATING FOR A BETTER BUSINESS CLIMATE AND QUALITY OF LIFE. IT IS ALSO AN OPPORTUNITY FOR VICA MEMBERS AND OTHER BUSINESS LEADERS TO LEARN ABOUT PUBLIC POLICY ISSUES THAT DIRECTLY IMPACT THE BUSINESS CLIMATE. THE CONFERENCE ALSO SERVES AS THE PLACE FOR AN ECONOMIC FORECAST AT THE NATIONAL, STATE AND LOCAL LEVELS. THE CONFERENCE ATTENDEES LOOK AT TREND PROJECTIONS TO SEE WHERE THE VALLEY CAN EXPECT THE ECONOMY TO BE IN THE NEXT YEAR. THE CONFERENCE FOCUSES ON ISSUES SUCH AS WORKFORCE EDUCATION, MOBILITY, CLIMATE CHANGE, LAND USE, LOBBYING AND THE WAY UPCOMING ELECTIONS WOULD IMPACT THE BUSINESS CLIMATE.

THE VICA SAN FERNANDO HALL OF FAME DINNER IS AN OPPORTUNITY TO PROMOTE OUR MISSION OF A BETTER BUSINESS CLIMATE AND QUALITY OF LIFE, BY HIGHLIGHTING THE DISTINGUISHED SET OF BUSINESSES AND BUSINESS LEADERS WHO ALSO BELIEVE IN THE MISSION OF VICA TO PROMOTE A BETTER BUSINESS CLIMATE AND LIFE. THIS EVENT CELEBRATES THE SAN FERNANDO VALLEY'S UNIQUE BUSINESS COMMUNITY AND FORMALLY RECOGNIZE THOSE ENTITIES AND INDIVIDUALS THAT HAVE MADE THE VALLEY WHAT IT IS TODAY - A VIBRANT AND DIVERSE PLACE TO RUN A BUSINESS AND RAISE A FAMILY. THIS EVENT CELEBRATES THE ECONOMIC VITALITY OF THE VALLEY, PROMOTES CHANGE AND A WAY TO CHERISH THOSE WHO HAVE ALREADY FORGED AHEAD TO MAKE THE VALLEY A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE AND WORK.


THE VICA ANNUAL MEETING WORKS TO HELP PROMOTE VICA'S MISSION AS WELL AS TO SERVE A REQUIREMENT OF VICA'S BY-LAWS. THE ANNUAL MEETING SERVES AS THE FINAL BOARD MEETING OF THE YEAR AND PROVIDES THE LOCATION FOR THE ELECTION OF THE NEXT YEAR'S BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND OFFICERS. INDIVIDUALS WHO HAVE MADE A DIFFERENCE BOTH AT VICA AND IN THE COMMUNITY, AND A COMPANY WHICH HAS SHOWN EXCELLENCE IN TRYING TO MAKE THE COMMUNITY A BETTER PLACE TO LIVE ARE HONORED DURING THIS MEETING. THE FINAL PORTION OF THE EVENT GIVES VICA'S MEMBERS THE OPPORTUNITY TO HEAR FROM HIGH RANKING STATE OFFICIALS ON WHAT THEY THINK OF THE BUSINESS CLIMATE.
