JAPAN-AMERICA INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT SCIENCE (JAIMS), A PIONEER IN INTERCULTURAL MANAGEMENT EDUCATION, IS A PRIVATE, NONPROFIT, POSTGRADUATE INSTITUTE. OUR MISSION IS TO CONTRIBUTE TO HUMAN CAPITAL AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT IN THE ASIA-PACIFIC REGION THROUGH KNOWLEDGE CO-CREATION BY EDUCATING AND TRAINING INDIVIDUALS TO BE EFFECTIVE LEADERS IN AN INCREASINGLY INTERDEPENDENT GLOBAL SOCIETY.

Describe the Organization's Program Activity:

EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMS THAT EMPHASIZE THE QUALITIES ESSENTIAL FOR SUCCESS IN THE INTERNATIONAL ARENA: CROSS-CULTURAL SENSITIVITY, A SOLID UNDERSTANDING OF GLOBAL BUSINESS ISSUES, AND FOREIGN LANGUAGE COMPETENCY IN CONDUCTING BUSINESS. ENROLLMENT OF APPROXIMATELY 993 STUDENTS. THE ORGANIZATION RECEIVED $391,338 IN DONATED FACILITIES AND $193,445 IN DONATED SERVICES WHICH ARE PROPERLY EXCLUDED FROM FUNCTIONAL EXPENSES REPORTED IN PART IX. 24.89% OF THE DONATED FACILITIES AND 50% OF THE DONATED SERVICES ARE USED FOR PROGRAM EXPENSES. WITH THE INCLUSION OF THESE DONATED COSTS, PROGRAM SERVICES EXPENSE AMOUNTS TO 33% OF TOTAL EXPENSE. THE PROGRAM EXPENSE PERCENTAGE WAS DOWN SEVERELY AS COMPARED TO PRIOR YEARS DUE TO PROGRAMS BEING CANCELED BECAUSE OF THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC.
