SCHOLARSHIP AND AWARDS SUPPORT- PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIP AND INTERNSHIP SUPPORT, AWARDS AND RESEARCH STIPENDS TO STUDENTS OF ST. MARY'S COLLEGE OF MARYLAND. IN FY21, 347 SCHOLARSHIPS FROM 85 FUNDS WERE AWARDED. THERE WERE 138 AWARDS GIVEN TO STUDENTS, MANY AT THE VIRTUAL AWARDS CONVOCATION HONORING OUTSTANDING STUDENT ACHIEVEMENTS. 14 STUDENTS WERE PROVIDED SUPPORT TO ENABLE THEM TO COMPLETE AN INTERNSHIP, WHICH PROVIDES AN EXCELLENT SETTING FOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT, WORKPLACE DISCIPLINE, SUBJECT SPECIFIC JOB EXPERIENCE AND NETWORKING OPPORTUNITIES. 4 STUDENTS WERE AWARDED STIPENDS TO HELP WITH UNDERGRADUATE RESEARCH PROJECTS.
