CHILDCARE SERVICES: THE ORGANIZATION WAS CREATED AS A DIRECT RESPONSE TO AN URGENT COMMUNITY NEED FOR AFFORDABLE, QUALITY CHILDCARE. THE ORGANIZATION IS LICENSED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF EARLY EDUCATION AND CARE FOR 110 CHILDREN BETWEEN THE AGES OF 2 MONTHS AND 6 YEARS. ALTHOUGH PRIVATE TUITION IS AVAILABLE, THE ORGANIZATION WORKS CLOSELY WITH THE COMMONWEALTH OF MASSACHUSETTS TO OFFER SUBSIDIZED CHILDCARE, ALLOWING PARENTS AND GUARDIANS THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEEK EMPLOYMENT, MAINTAIN EMPLOYMENT AND FURTHER THEIR EDUCATION. THE ORGANIZATION PROUDLY ACHIEVED ACCREDITATION THROUGH THE NATIONAL ASSOCIATION FOR THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG CHILDREN (NAEYC) IN JUNE 2014, AND THEY STRIVE TO ENSURE THAT THE CENTER MAINTAINS THE NAEYC STANDARDS OF QUALITY.
TEEN PARENT SERVICES: THE ORGANIZATION ALSO OFFERS THE ONLY TEEN PARENT PROGRAM IN LYNN. SINCE 1988, THE ORGANIZATION HAS OPERATED A COMPREHENSIVE PROGRAM FOR 12 TEEN PARENTS AND THEIR CHILDREN GEARED TO MEET THEIR SPECIFIC NEEDS. IT IS THE ORGANIZATIONS OBJECTIVE FOR THE TEENS IN THE PROGRAM TO AVOID FUTURE PREGNANCIES, FINISH THEIR EDUCATION IN HIGH SCHOOL AND CONTINUE ONTO COLLEGE, EMPLOYMENT, TRAINING OR ANOTHER APPROPRIATE SETTING, WHILE RECEIVING CHILD CARE SERVICES AND BUILDING LIFE/PARENTING SKILLS SO THAT THEY BECOME SELF-SUFFICIENT. MANY OF THE PREVIOUS TEEN PARENTS HAVE GONE ON TO EARN AN ASSOCIATES, BACHELORS, AND MASTERS DEGREE.
