HELD THE INDIGENOUS PEOPLES DAY SYMPOSIUM IN BROOKLYN, NY TO CONNECT THE AMERICAN INDIAN COMMUNITY WITH BROOKLYN. THE EVENT FOCUSED ON CELEBRATING AND RECOGNIZING INDIGENOUS VALUES, CULTURE, AND ETHICS THROUGH ENVIORNMENTAL TEACHINGS, STORYTELLING, ART, DANCE AND SONG. ALSO HELD VARIOUS NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURE EVENTS - RESIDENTS CONNECT WITH NATIVE AMERICAN CULTURAL TRADITIONS THROUGH DANCE, ART AND STORYTELLING. THE EVENTS FEATURED PRESENTATIONS BY NATIVE AMERICANS. VARIOUS CONFRENCES FOCUSING ON NATIVE AMERICAN HEALTH AND SOCIAL ISSUES WERE HELD. SOCIAL ACTIVITIES SUCH AS BINGO AND NATIVE AMERICAN THEATER PRESENTATIONS WERE OFFERED VIA ZOOM MEETINGS THROUGHOUT THE COURSE OF THE PANDEMIC TO KEEP THE COMMUNITY CONNECTED.
