THE FAIRFAX CHORAL SOCIETY (FCS) SERVES THE COMMUNITY BY ENRICHING LIVES THROUGH THE PERFORMANCE, EDUCATION, AND APPRECIATION OF CHORAL ART.

Part 3 - Line 4a
PRODUCTION, PROMOTION, AND PERFORMANCE OF CHORAL MUSIC PROGRAMS. AS RESPONSIBLE STEWARDS OF THE CHORAL ARTS, FCS SEEKS TO ALWAYS PRODUCE HIGH-QUALITY PERFORMANCES BY EACH OF ITS PERFORMING ENSEMBLES. IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE GROUP'S MISSION, FCS WORKS TIRELESSLY EVERY SEASON TO PERFORM CONCERTS INCLUDING NEW COMPOSITIONS, MAJOR CHORAL WORKS ACCOMPANIED BY A FULL ORCHESTRA, AND MULTICULTURAL AND CONTEMPORARY MUSIC. OUR ENSEMBLES HAVE TOURED INTERNATIONALLY, AND HOSTED VISITING CONDUCTORS AND MAJOR VOCAL ARTISTS.
MUSIC EDUCATION AND TRAINING. FCS CONTRIBUTES TO THE CHORAL ARTS CALENDAR AND ENRICHES THE CULTURAL HORIZON OF NORTHERN VIRGINIA AS ONE OF THE LARGEST NORTHERN VIRGINIA CHORAL GROUPS, WITH SIX CHOIRS AND FOUR MUSICIANSHIP CLASSES FOR SINGERS FROM CHILDREN TO ADULT. WEEKLY CHORAL REHEARSALS PROVIDE ADDITIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND VOCAL COACHING OPPORTUNITIES TO ITS MEMBERS.
