ROTARY IS DEDICATED TO CAUSES THAT BUILD RELATIONSHIPS, IMPROVE LIVES, AND CREATE A BETTER WORLD FOR THE PEOPLE OF BUCKS COUNTY AND LOCAL ORGANIZATIONS. THIS IS ACHIEVED THROUGH FUND-RAISING EVENTS AND VARIOUS SERVICE PROJECTS. FOR OVER 60 YEARS OUR MOTTO HAS BEEN "SERVICE ABOVE SELF". OUR THREE MAIN PROJECTS FOR THE 2021 2022 YEARS WERE SHOP WITH A COP WHEN WE SOLD 9/11 COMMEMORATIVE GOLD COINS AND RAISED $10,550 TO DONATE THE LOCAL POLICE DEPARTMENT WHO SHOP AND DELIVER HOLIDAY GIFTS TO UNDER PRIVILEGED FAMILIES. ANOTHER FUNDRAISER IS HOPE ON A VINE. THIS IS A WINE TASTING AND ACTION/SILENT AUCTION THAT RAISED $34,063.35 IN FUNDS THAT ARE THEN ALLOCATED OUT TO LOCAL CHARITIES AND ORGANIZATIONS. SOME OF THESE ORGANIZATIONS ARE BUCKS COUNTY HOUSING GROUP, D.A.R.E, A WOMANS PLACE, FRIENDS HOME, BUCKS COUNTY OPPORTUNITY COUNCIL, ECT. THIRDLY WE HAVE OUR NEXTGEN BLOCK PARTY. THIS IS A FUNDRAISING EVENT HELD IN NEWTOWN BORO THAT RAISED $21,140.57 IN FUNDS FOR AN ORGANIZATION CALLED FAMILY PROMISE OF LOWER BUCKS. AMONG OTHER ACTIVITIES NEWTOWN ROTARY CLUB ORGANIZES ANNUAL FOOD DRIVES, HIGHWAY CLEAN UPS AND VOLUNTEERS TO SERVE UNDER PRIVILEGED FAMILIES BY STAFFING A KITCHEN AND SERVING THANKSGIVING AND CHRISTMAS DINNER.
