THE ASSOCIATION'S PURPOSE IS TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THE STUDY OF ALLERGY, CLINICAL IMMUNOLOGY, ASTHMA, AND RELATED DISORDERS AND TO DISSEMINATE KNOWLEDGE AMONG PROFESSIONALS AND THE LAY PUBLIC.

EDUCATION: THE ASSOCIATION PROMOTES AND ENCORAGES THE STUDY OF ALLERGY/ASTHMA IMMUNOLOGY AND DISSEMINATES KNOWLEDGE AMONG PROFESSIONALS AND THE PUBLIC. IN 2022, PAAA CONDUCTED AN IN-PERSON ANNUAL MEETINGS AND A VIRTUAL EDUCATIONAL PROGRAM SERIES THAT OFFERED EIGHT PROGRAMS IN 2022., ONE OF WHICH PROVIDED CME. SERIES DREW 3 10 ATTENDEES AT EACH PROGRAM.
REPRESENTATION/ADVOCACY: THE ASSOCIATION REPRESENTS THE INTERESTS OF ITS MEMBERS AND THEIR PATIENTS THROUGH REPRESENTATION IN THE STATE MEDICAL SOCIETYS SPECIALTY LEADERSHIP CABINET AND HOUSE OF DELEGATES AS WELL AS MEDICARES CARRIER ADVISORY COMMITTEE.
MEMBER COMMUNICATIONS: THE ASSOCIATION HAS AN UP-TO-DATE WEBSITE THAT CONTAINS TOOLS AND RESOURCES FOR JOINING THE ASSOCIATION, ATTENDING THE ANNUAL MEETING AND ALLERGY/IMMUNOLOGY RESEARCH AND EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITIES.
