DURING THE YEAR, SHIPPENSBURG HISTORICAL SOCIETY ACQUIRED VARIOUS DOCUMENTS, PHOTOGRAPHS AND ARTIFACTS WITH HISTORICAL SIGNIFICANCE TO THE COMMUNITY. IN ADDITION TO THE EXHIBITION OF THESE ITEMS, THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDED VARIOUS PROGRAMS AND SPECIAL EVENTS TO PROMOTE COMMUNITY AWARENESS OF THE HISTORY OF THE COMMUNITY AS WELL AS PRESERVE COMMUNITY HISTORY.
