THE MISSION OF HISTORIC MORVEN, INC. IS TO PRESERVE THE NATIONAL HISTORIC LANDMARK KNOWN AS MORVEN BY OPERATING IT AS A MUSEUM AND PUBLIC GARDEN THAT EDUCATE DIVERSE AUDIENCES AND SHOWCASES ITS RICH HISTORY.

1) TO ASSIST THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY IN THE PRESERVATION AND RESTORATION OF THE HISTORIC SITE KNOWN AS MORVEN BY PROVIDING FINANCIAL AND TECHNICAL ASSISTANCE. 2) TO OPERATE A MUSEUM AND PUBLIC GARDEN AT MORVEN THAT SHOWCASES THE CULTURAL HERITAGE OF NEW JERSEY IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE COOPERATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN HISTORIC MORVEN, INC. AND THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY. 3) TO CARE FOR COLLECTIONS AND COLLECTION ITEMS THAT ARE DEPOSITED OR EXHIBITED AT MORVEN. 4) TO EDUCATE THE PUBLIC ABOUT NEW JERSEY'S CULTURAL HERITAGE THROUGH EXHIBITION, INTERPRETATION, AND CULTURAL PROGRAMS. 5) TO COLLABORATE WITH THE NEW JERSEY STATE MUSEUM AND OTHER MUSEUM, HISTORIC SITES, AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS IN THE FURTHERANCE OF THESE PURPOSES.
