THE MERAKEY FOUNDATION PROVIDES CRITICAL FINANCIAL SUPPORT WHERE THIRD-PARTY FUNDING FOR THE OPERATION OF MERAKEY'S PROGRAMS FALLS SHORT. THE FOUNDATION ALSO RAISES AWARENESS ABOUT THE HEALTH AND SOCIAL ISSUES THAT IMPACT THE INDIVIDUALS WE SERVE. SINCE ITS FOUNDING IN 1999, THE MERAKEY FOUNDATION HAS RAISED NEARLY 10 MILLION DOLLARS THROUGH GRANTS, EVENTS, AND PRIVATE DONATION. HIGHLIGHTS THIS PAST YEAR INCLUDE PROVIDING ADDITIONAL HARDWARE TO SUPPORT EXPANDED TELEHEALTH AND REMOTE LEARNING DURING THE PANDEMIC, ADDITIONAL HOUSING SCHOLARSHIPS FOR PEOPLE IN DRUG AND ALCOHOL RECOVERY, EMERGENCY FUNDING FOR UNEXPECTED PPE EXPENSES DURING THE PANDEMIC, AND FUNDS TO SUPPORT INDIVIDUALS WITH DISABILITIES QUARENTINING IN THEIR COMMUNITY HOMES.
