1) AMMA MAKES YEARLY TRIPS TO THE USA, AS WELL AS TO OTHER COUNTRIES, TO HOLD DISCOURSES AND SPIRITUAL RETREATS WHERE SHE TEACHES SELF-DISCOVERY THROUGH MEDITATION, YOGA PRACTICE, AND COMPASSIONATE SERVICE. SHE WELCOMES EVERYONE FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE AND ALL FAITHS, TO FOLLOW HER TEACHINGS AND BE GUIDED IN ATTAINING INNER PEACE AND THUS, ACCOMPLISHING OUTER PEACE. HER GOAL IS TO HELP US UNDERSTAND, PRACTICE, AND INTEGRATE VALUES THAT BRING PEACE TO OUR SURROUNDINGS, OUR HOME, OUR CITY, OUR COUNTRY, AND THE WORLD. DUE TO COVID AND TRAVEL RESTRICTIONS, AMMA COULD NOT TRAVEL IN 2022 BUT REMOTELY CONDUCTED ALL THE PROGRAMS TO ACHIEVE THE SAME PURPOSE AS PERSONALLY WOULD HAVE OTHERWISE BEEN DONE. AT MANY OF HER PROGRAMS, SHE CONDUCTS PEACE MARCHES AND PEACE SERVICES TO HELP SPREAD HARMONY IN THE WORLD. SHE HAS INSPIRED MILLIONS TO FIND PURPOSE AND MEANING IN THEIR LIVES AND THUS BRINGS ABOUT A DEEP AND PROFOUND INDIVIDUAL AND SOCIAL TRANSFORMATION. THE DIRE NEED FOR CLEAN, SAFE DRINKING WATER LED TO THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES PROJECT VITAL IN A REGION PLAGUED WITH AILMENTS CAUSED BY HIGH FLUORIDE LEVELS IN THE WATER. A TOTAL OF 32 WATER TREATMENT FACILITIES HAVE BEEN INSTALLED, AS A RESULT OF WHICH 2,000 FAMILIES IN AND AROUND 32 VILLAGES NOW HAVE ACCESS TO CLEAN DRINKING WATER. OVER 200,000 PATIENTS HAVE RECEIVED FREE TREATMENT FOR LIFE-THREATENING CONDITIONS, LIKE CANCER, DIABETES, AND POLIO, TOGETHER WITH OBSTETRIC/GYNECOLOGICAL, DENTAL AND VISION, AND PHYSICAL THERAPY CARE. BASIC MEDICAL SUPPLIES, INCLUDING WHEELCHAIRS, ARE DISTRIBUTED FREE OF CHARGE, AND 15,000 PATIENTS HAVE BEEN TREATED THROUGH THE FREE HOSPITAL, MOBILE OUTREACH CLINICS, AND FREE EDUCATION PROVIDED TO 680 SCHOOL KIDS.2) VOLUNTEERS IN ATLANTA CONTINUED TO SERVE 100 MEALS EVERY MONTH TO THE HOMELESS WOMEN HOUSED IN THE RESTORATION HOUSE OF THE ATLANTA MISSION, A SHELTER SERVING WOMEN AND CHILDREN. ANNAPOORNA SEVA PROGRAM INITIATED DURING COVID PROVIDED RELIEF SERVICES IN BANGALORE, KA. FOOD DRIVES ACROSS THE COUNTY: SMVA TRUST VOLUNTEERS COORDINATE LOCAL FOOD DRIVES TO HELP THEIR NEIGHBORS IN NEED. VOLUNTEERS JOIN HANDS TO BOTH PREPARE AND DISTRIBUTE NUTRITIOUS MEALS TO THE HOMELESS AND THE UNDERPRIVILEGED. OUR FOOD DRIVES SPAN MORE THAN 21 CITIES ACROSS 9 STATES AND HAVE HELPED FEED THOUSANDS. FOR THOSE LIVING WITH FOOD INSECURITY AND WITHOUT REGULAR ACCESS TO AFFORDABLE, NUTRITIOUS FRESH FOOD, OUR FOOD DRIVES ARE NOT ONLY A CRITICAL SUPPLY OF FOOD BUT ALSO FOSTER A STRONGER SENSE OF COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY. OFTEN WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LOCAL FOOD BANKS, AND LOCAL BUSINESSES, LIKE WHOLE FOODS, COSTCO, DUNKIN DONUTS, AND MANY OTHERS, OUR MEMBERS ALSO COLLECT AND DISTRIBUTE FOOD ITEMS THAT WOULD NORMALLY BE THROWN AWAY. BILLIONS OF POUNDS OF SAFE, HEALTHY & NUTRITIOUS FOOD ARE THROWN AWAY EACH YEAR IN AMERICA. IN DIFFICULT ECONOMIC TIMES, SUCH WASTE IS UNNECESSARY AND OUR SEVA INITIATIVE PARTNERS WITH CHURCHES AND OTHER PHILANTHROPIC ORGANIZATIONS TO MEET THE NEEDS OF THE GROWING POPULATION OF HUNGRY AMERICANS.3) MEDICAL CAMPS MEDICAL CAMP CONDUCTED AT KARUNAMAYI CHARITABLE HOSPITAL IN NELLORE, AP, INDIA COORDINATED BY SURYA TEIA ARTS 3000+ PATIENTS SERVED MEDICINES WORTH $23,682 WERE DISPENSED TO THE PATIENTS MEDICAL CAMPS WERE CONDUCTED AT TEGACHERLA, PENUBARTI, AND SOMASILA VILLAGES MORE THAN 1150 PEOPLE WERE SERVED 335 DENTAL PROBLEMS 92 OPTHOLMOLIC ISSUES AND DIABETIC PATIENTS WERE EXAMINED MANY CASES WERE NOTICED WITH NUTRITIONAL DEFICIENCY, SKIN INFECTIONS ARTHRITIS NEURITIS AND RESPIRATORY DISEASES KARUNAMAYI CHARITABLE HOSPITAL SERVES AS PRIMARY CARE AND PROVIDES EYE CARE, PHYSIOTHERAPY, X-RAY, DENTAL AND LEPROSY MEDICATIONS 500,000 VILLAGERS HAVE BEEN SERVED SO FAR 300,000 FREE EYE SURGERIES DONE AS OF DATE MEDICAL CAMP WAS CONDUCTED AT SVS BALAJI TEMPLE IN ILLINOIS 180 PEOPLE WERE PROVIDED WITH FREE LABS AND CONSULTATION BY MORE THAN 20 DOCTORS IN VARIOUS FIELDS.4) THE COMMITTEE ON NON-GOVERNMENTAL ORGANIZATIONS OF THE DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC INFORMATION (DPI) FROM THE UNITED NATIONS APPROVED SRI MATHRUDEVI VISHWASHANTHI ASHRAM TRUST AS AN NGO FOR ASSOCIATION WITH THE DEPARTMENT ON JUNE 6TH 2014 NGO, SMVA TRUST COMMITTED TO BRING IN SOCIAL WELFARE AND SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND WORK TO PROMOTE GLOBAL UNITY. 5) SMVA UGANDA PROJECTS 2022 - SMVA TRUST HAS BEEN ACTIVELY WORKING IN THE KASESE DISTRICT IN THE RWENZORI SUB-REGION OF WESTERN UGANDA TO SUPPORT CHILDRENS EDUCATION, FOOD, AND HYGIENE NEEDS SINCE 2016. THESE PROJECTS ARE BEING IMPLEMENTED ON THE GROUND IN COLLABORATION WITH A LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATION PARC (PARTNERS FOR REAL CHANGE). THE SHINE SCHOOL FEEDING INITIATIVE HAS POSITIVELY IMPACTED THE LIVES OF 200 CHILDREN AND 16 SCHOOL STAFF OVER THE COURSE OF 135 DAYS, PROVIDING A TOTAL OF 58,320 MEALS. THE NUTRITIONAL SUPPORT INCLUDES A WHOLESOME BREAKFAST CONSISTING OF CORN PORRIDGE MADE IN MILK, ACCOMPANIED BY FRUIT, AND A NUTRITIOUS LUNCH FEATURING POSHO WITH BEANS AND VEGETABLES. TO FACILITATE THIS PROGRAM, ESSENTIAL FOOD ITEMS WERE PROCURED, INCLUDING 3,780 KGS OF MAIZE, 800 KGS OF BEANS, 100 LITERS OF COOKING OIL, 800 LITERS OF MILK, 400 LOAVES OF BREAD, AND A VARIETY OF VEGETABLES, SPICES, AND BANANAS TOTALING 1,900. THIS WELL-ROUNDED MEAL PLAN NOT ONLY CONTRIBUTES TO THE CHILDREN'S DAILY NUTRITIONAL NEEDS BUT ALSO AIMS TO ENHANCE THEIR OVERALL HEALTH.THE POSITIVE IMPACT EXTENDS BEYOND THE PHYSICAL WELL-BEING OF THE CHILDREN, AS EVIDENCED BY THE MOTIVATED PARENTS ACTIVELY SENDING THEIR CHILDREN TO SHINE SCHOOL. REMARKABLY, SCHOOL ATTENDANCE REPORTS INDICATE A SIGNIFICANT REDUCTION IN ABSENTEEISM, POINTING TO THE SUCCESS OF THE FEEDING PROGRAM IN FOSTERING A CONDUCIVE LEARNING ENVIRONMENT.FURTHERMORE, THERE IS CLEAR EVIDENCE OF IMPROVED LEARNING OUTCOMES AMONG THE CHILDREN, REFLECTING THE EFFECTIVENESS OF THE SCHOOL FEEDING PROGRAM IN ENHANCING EDUCATIONAL EXPERIENCES.
