DELAWARE VALLEY GOLDEN RETRIEVER RESCUE, INC. PROVIDES NEW BEGINNINGS FOR DISPLACED GOLDEN RETRIEVERS AND OTHER GOLDEN-HEARTED RETRIEVERS, ALONG WITH A FULL ARRAY OF ADOPTIVE AND EDUCATIONAL SUPPORT.
Describe the Organization's Program Activity:
DOG RESCUE: DURING 2020, A TOTAL OF 309 DOGS WERE TAKEN IN BY DVGRR WITH THE INTENTION OF PLACING THE DOGS IN FAMILY CARE ONCE REHABILITATED AND PROVIDED WITH PROPER MEDICAL TREATMENTS, AS NEEDED. A TOTAL OF 296 DOGS WERE ADOPTED FROM DVGRR IN 2020.
EDUCATION: EDUCATION ON RESPONSIBLE DOG OWNERSHIP AND PROMOTION OF GOOD CANINE CITIZENSHIP WAS ACHIEVED THROUGH PUBLIC SPEAKING, PUBLICATION OF A QUARTERLY NEWSLETTER, ADOPTION INFORMATION PACKETS AND BROCHURES, AND ARTICLES APPEARING IN NEWSPAPERS AND DOG MAGAZINES. IN ADDITION, EDUCATIONAL INFORMATION IS ALSO MADE AVAILABLE THROUGH DVGRR'S WEBSITE AND THROUGH EMAILS.
