LOLLYPOP FARM OFFERS A SHELTER OF HOPE AND SECOND CHANCES FOR COMPANION AND FARM ANIMALS WHO ARE HOMELESS OR ABUSED. CATS, DOGS, RABBITS, SMALL PETS, BIRDS, HORSES, PIGS, SHEEP, GEESE, AND OTHER FARM ANIMALS ENJOY THE COMFORT OF A NURTURING ENVIRONMENT, VETERINARY TREATMENT, BEHAVIORAL INTERVENTION, AND EXPERT, LOVING CARE FROM STAFF AND VOLUNTEERS DURING THEIR TIME AT LOLLYPOP FARM. EVERY ANIMAL ENTRUSTED TO US FOR HELP REGARDLESS OF AGE, HEALTH ISSUES OR INJURIES, OR BEHAVIOR IS PROVIDED WITH INDIVIDUALIZED CARE SPECIFIC TO THEIR NEEDS, WITH NO TIME LIMIT OR SET LENGTH OF STAY. LOLLYPOP FARM FOCUSES ON PROVIDING PETS IN NEED THE BEST OPPORTUNITY FOR SECOND CHANCES WITH NEW LOVING FAMILIES. A VARIETY OF RESOURCES ARE AVAILABLE TO MEET THAT PET'S NEEDS:-- A FULL-SERVICE IN-HOUSE VETERINARY TEAM OF FOUR VETERINARIANS, ALONG WITH A TEAM OF LICENSED VETERINARY TECHNICIANS AND ASSISTANTS, THAT TREAT ANIMALS FOR ALL MEDICAL AND SURGICAL NEEDS-- A BEHAVIORAL MODIFICATION TEAM THAT WORKS WITH PETS WHO MAY HAVE BEHAVIOR ISSUES-- AN EXTENSIVE FOSTER CARE VOLUNTEER PROGRAM THAT EXPANDS OUR CAPACITY TO CARE FOR YOUNG KITTENS AND PETS WHO NEED LONG-TERM REHABILITATION-- COLLABORATIONS WITH RESCUES GROUPS AND SHELTERS TO TRANSFER PETS FOR PLACEMENT-- FOCUSED EFFORTS TO REUNITE STRAY PETS WITH THEIR OWNERS.ONCE A PET OR FARM ANIMAL IS READY FOR ADOPTION, OUR FOCUS IS ON MAKING SUCCESSFUL LONG-TERM MATCHES BETWEEN PETS AND ADOPTERS. ADOPTIONS ARE AVAILABLE AT OUR MAIN CAMPUS IN FAIRPORT AND THREE SATELLITE ADOPTION CENTERS WITH OUR PARTNER PET SUPPLIES PLUS. FOR NEARLY 150 YEARS, OUR ORGANIZATION HAS FOUGHT TO END CRUELTY TO ANIMALS. LOLLYPOP FARM IS THE DESIGNATED SPCA FOR MONROE COUNTY. CHARGED WITH INVESTIGATING AND ENFORCING THE ANIMAL CRUELTY LAWS OF NY, THE FIVE ANIMAL CRUELTY INVESTIGATORS ON OUR HUMANE LAW ENFORCEMENT TEAM ARE CERTIFIED PEACE OFFICERS WITH THE AUTHORITY TO MAKE ARRESTS IN MONROE, ORLEANS, GENESEE, AND LIVINGSTON COUNTIES. OFFICERS ALSO ASSIST OTHER LAW ENFORCEMENT AGENCIES IN INVESTIGATING ANIMAL CRIMES. WE RESPOND TO CONCERNS ABOUT ANIMAL CRUELTY REPORTED THROUGH OUR ANIMAL CRUELTY HOTLINE (585-223-6500), AS WELL AS CASES REFERRED BY 9-1-1 OTHER AGENCIES. LOLLYPOP FARM AIMS TO ELEVATE THE IMPORTANCE OF INVESTIGATING AND PROSECUTING ANIMAL CRIMES BY SHARING INFORMATION, TOOLS, AND BEST PRACTICES.
WHILE ANIMAL SHELTERING HAS LONG BEEN THE FOCUS OF ANIMAL WELFARE, THE FOCUS ON PREVENTION AND INTERVENTION HAS EVOLVED AS A CRITICAL STRATEGY IN SAVING LIVES. LOLLYPOP FARM'S OUTREACH PROGRAMS PROVIDE SOLUTIONS THAT HELP KEEP PETS IN THEIR LOVING HOMES. WE ENGAGE PEOPLE OF ALL AGES TO HELP MEET THEIR NEEDS, LEARN ABOUT KINDNESS TOWARD ANIMALS, AND ACCESS RESOURCES FOR OPTIMAL PET CARE. IT ENABLES AFFORDABLE ACCESS TO SURGERY TO PREVENT UNWANTED LITTERS AND PREVENT FUTURE HEALTH PROBLEMS FOR PETS. THE SERVICE ULTIMATELY REDUCES THE NUMBER OF HOMELESS PETS SURRENDERED TO THE SHELTER.- HOME (HELP AND OPTIONS FOR MEDICAL EMERGENCIES) OFFERS EMERGENCY CRITICAL CARE TO PET OWNERS WHO HAVE LIMITED RESOURCES. LIFESAVING VETERINARY SURGERIES ARE EITHER PROVIDED AT LITTLE TO NO COST BY THE VETERINARY TEAM IN THE KLINGENSTEIN VETERINARY CLINIC OR SUBSIDIZED AT PARTNER VETERINARY PRACTICES IN THE COMMUNITY.
