THE KING OF PRUSSIA VOLUNTEER FIRE COMPANY HAS ONLY ONE PROGRAM GOAL, PRESERVATION OF LIFE AND PROPERTY, THROUGH HAZARD MITIGATION AND EDUCATION. IN 2000, THE COMPANY WAS THE FIRST ALL-VOLUNTEER FIRE SERVICE TO BECOME ACCREDITED BY THE COMMISSION ON FIRE SERVICE ACCREDITATION. IN 2008, THE COMPANY RECEIVED RECOGNITION FROM THE OFFICE OF THE STATE FIRE COMMISSIONER FOR MEETING OR EXCEEDING THE NATIONALLY RECOGNIZED TRAINING STANDARDS. ALSO IN 2008, THE COMPANY WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE DEPARTMENT OF HEALTH, THROUGH MONTGOMERY COUNTY, FOR MEETING THE STANDARDS FOR ADVANCED LEVEL RESCUE OPERATIONS. IN 2009, THE COMPANY WAS RECOGNIZED BY THE INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CHIEFS FOR ITS FIRE AND LIFE SAFETY PROGRAM. IN 2011, THE COMPANY JOINED FORCES WITH TWO OTHER FIRE COMPANIES TO FORM A REGIONAL RESCUE TASK FORCE. THE TASK FORCE BRINGS ABOUT COMMON OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES, EXPANDED TRAINING AND REDUCTION IN EQUIPMENT DUPLICATION. ALL IS DONE TO MEET OUR MISSION DESCRIBED ABOVE.
