DOCK ACRES, INC., OPERATES AND MAINTAINS HOUSING FOR SENIOR ADULTS AND PROVIDES, ON A NONPROFIT BASIS, HOUSING FACILITIES AND SERVICES SPECIALLY DESIGNED TO MEET THE SPIRITUAL, PHYSICAL, EMOTIONAL, SOCIAL, AND PSYCHOLOGICAL NEEDS OF AGING. DOCK ACRES, INC., CONTRIBUTES TO RESIDENTS' HEALTH, SECURITY, HAPPINESS, AND USEFULNESS IN LONGER LIVING AND ENGAGES THEM IN PROGRAMS DESIGNED TO PROMOTE AND ENCOURAGE THEIR WELLBEING.THE ORGANIZATION PROVIDES HOUSING, NURSING, REHABILITATION, AND OTHER RELATED SERVICES TO COMMUNITY MEMBERS THROUGH THE OPERATION OF 174 RESIDENTIAL LIVING COTTAGES AND VILLAS (DOCK ACRES DIVISION) AND 89 RESIDENTIAL LIVING APARTMENTS (DOCK GARDENS DIVISION). THE COMMUNITY PROVIDES HEALTH CARE SERVICES TO THESE RESIDENTS THROUGH A CONTINUING CARE AGREEMENT THAT INCLUDES HATFIELD MENNONITE HOME. FOR FISCAL YEAR ENDING JUNE 30, 2021; 380 PEOPLE WERE PROVIDED CARE, MAINTAINING AN AVERAGE CENSUS OF 97%. RESIDENTS CAN RECEIVE BENEVOLENT CARE IF THEIR RESOURCES ARE NOT SUFFICIENT TO COVER THE FULL COST OF THEIR CARE.DOCK ACRES ALSO SERVES THE BROADER COMMUNITY BY PROVIDING EDUCATIONAL SEMINARS. THE FACILITY IS AVAILABLE AT NO CHARGE TO HEALTH SERVICE ORGANIZATIONS PROVIDING SUPPORT AND EDUCATION ON HEALTH TOPICS. THE FACILITY ALSO HOSTS SEMINARS ON MEETING THE NEEDS OF THE ELDERLY FOR PASTORS AND THOSE SERVING SENIORS IN THE BROADER COMMUNITY. IT ALSO SERVES SPOUSES AND FAMILY MEMBERS OF PERSONS SUFFERING FROM DEMENTIA BY HOSTING A SUPPORT GROUP THAT IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC.THE FACILITY ALSO SERVES THE LOCAL COMMUNITY BY SERVING AS A POLLING PLACE FOR ELECTIONS.
