SEE SCHEDULE OTHE DEPARTMENT PROVIDES A PLETHORA OF SERVICES INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE FOLLOWING: PRIMARY FIRE PROTECTION FOR DOVER TOWNSHIP INCLUDING STRUCTURE, VEHICLE, BRUSH, WIRES AND ELECTRICAL; MUTUAL AID FOR SURROUNDING AREAS INCLUDING WEST MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, MANCHESTER TOWNSHIP, CONEWAGO TOWNSHIP, WELLSVILLE, PARADISE TOWNSHIP, JACKSON TOWNSHIP, WEST YORK, YORK CITY, LAKE MEADE AND, AS NEEDED, THOSE SPECIFICALLY REQUESTED BY OTHERS; VEHICLE RESCUE WITH INJURY AND NON-INJURY; EMS SUPPORT AND HAZMAT AT AN OPERATIONS LEVEL; TECHNICAL RESCUE SERVICES SUCH AS CONFINED SPACE, TRENCH RESCUE, STRUCTURE COLLAPSE, WATER AND ICE RESCUE, HIGH ANGLE RESCUE. THESE AFOREMENTIONED SERVICES ARE PROVIDED TO DOVER TOWNSHIP, YORK COUNTY, AND SIX OTHER COUNTIES AS A REGIONAL RESPONSE OPERATION. PUBLIC SERVICES INCLUDE ASSISTING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT, ANIMAL RESCUE SERVICES, SMOKE AND ODOR INVESTIGATIONS, AS WELL AS ADDRESSING TREES AND DOWN WIRES. THE DEPARTMENT ALSO PROVIDES PUBLIC EDUCATION, TRANSFER STANDBYS, INSTALL SMOKE DETECTORS WITHIN THE COMMUNITY, MONITORS LOCAL SCHOOL DRILLS, AND ASSISTS FIRE POLICE WITH EVENTS.
