SERVE, INC.'S ADULT TRAINING FACILITY PROVIDES A WIDE RANGE OF ACTIVITIES TO MEET THE NEEDS OF INDIVIDUALS 18 YEARS AND OLDER. THE ACTIVITIES ARE DESIGNED TO ENCOURAGE INDEPENDENCE FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH INTELLECTUAL AND/OR PHYSICAL DISABILITIES LIVING THROUGHOUT THE BRADFORD AND SULLIVAN COUNTY AREAS.
SERVE INC.'S WORK, ACADEMICS AND TRANSITION PROGRAM (S.W.A.T.) IS DESIGNED SPECIFICALLY FOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WHO QUALIFY FOR SCHOOL TO WORK TRANSITION PLANNING. THE UNIQUE PROGRAM IS SPONSORED BY SEVERAL LOCAL SCHOOL DISTRICTS IN BRADFORD AND SULLIVAN COUNTIES TO ENSURE STUDENTS WITH IEPS (INDIVIDUAL EDUCATION PLAN) HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEARN NEW SKILLS AND PREPARE FOR COMPETITIVE EMPLOYMENT AND INDEPENDENT LIVING. THE PROGRAM IS DESIGNED TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF THE STUDENT'S STRENGTHS AND PREFERENCES IN ORDER TO IDENTIFY THE CAREER PATH WITH THE MAXIMUM POTENTIAL FOR THE STUDENT.
