THE INDEPENDENT FIRE COMPANY PROVIDES SUPPORT TO LOCAL NON-PROFIT ORGANIZATIONS BY PROVIDING THEIR FACILITIES FREE OF CHARGE FOR USE IN TRAININGS, FUNDRAISERS, AND OTHER EVENTS. THEY ALSO PROVIDE VOLUNTEER SUPPORT TO ASSIST IN COMMUNITY PROJECTS, AND FINANCIAL SUPPORT IF FUNDING IS AVAILABLE. UNTIL MAY 2016, THEY ALSO PROVIDED FIRE PROTECTION TO THE RESIDENTS OF THE BOROUGH OF SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT, PA. FOR THE YEAR ENDED NOVEMBER 30, 2021, THE FIRE COMPANY LOGGED OVER 5000 VOLUNTEER HOURS.
