THE VFW IS A FRATERNAL, PATRIOTIC, HISTORICAL AND EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATION, ORIGINALLY FOUNDED TO ASSIST VETERANS IN NEED, AS WELL AS THEIR WIDOWS AND FAMILIES.THE ORGANIZATION'S MISSION IS TO FOSTER CAMARADERIE AMONG UNITED STATES VETERANS OF OVERSEAS CONFLICTS. TO SERVE OUR VETERANS, THE MILITARY, AND OUR COMMUNITIES. TO ADVOCATE ON BEHALF OF ALL VETERANS.ENSURE THAT VETERANS ARE RESPECTED FOR THEIR SERVICE, ALWAYS RECEIVE THEIR EARNED ENTITLEMENTS, AND ARE RECOGNIZED FOR THE SACRIFICES THEY AND THEIR LOVED ONES HAVE MADE ON BEHALF OF THIS GREAT COUNTRY. THE GROUP PARTICIPATES IN MEMORIAL CEREMONIES, PARADES AND OTHER COMMUNITY EVENTS HONORING THE VETERANS OF ALL FOREIGN CONFLICTS AS WELL AS MAINTAIN LOCAL MONUMENTS AND HONORARIUMS. THE ORGANIZATION ALSO PARTICIPATES IN AND SPONSORS VARIOUS OTHER COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES, EVENTS AND FUNDRAISERS.
